Overview
La Pedrera (officially Casa Mila) is the last civil building designed by Antoni Gaudi, completed in 1912. It is known for its undulating stone facade and the famous warrior chimneys on the rooftop. Wheelchair users can access the exhibition hall, auditorium, and Gaudi Hall via elevators. However, the full rooftop terrace and the mezzanine floor are not accessible due to the constant unevenness of Gaudi's original structure. A viewing platform at the elevator exit on the rooftop level provides partial views of the warrior chimneys. Wheelchairs are available to borrow, with a maximum width of 63 cm.
Getting There
- Metro: Diagonal station (Lines L3 and L5) is approximately 300 meters away. The station has elevator access.
- Bus: Routes 7, 22, 24, and V15 stop on Passeig de Gracia near the building.
- On foot: La Pedrera is on Passeig de Gracia, a wide, flat boulevard. The approach from the Metro station is smooth and paved.
Visitors with disabilities receive priority access. Notify customer service staff when you arrive, and you will be given priority to buy tickets and enter without waiting in line, through the main entrance on Passeig de Gracia.
