Overview
The Albertina is one of the world's foremost art museums, housed in a former Habsburg residential palace at the southern tip of the Hofburg complex. Its collection spans from Monet and Renoir to Picasso, Warhol, and contemporary works. The museum holds over one million prints and 65,000 drawings, including masterpieces by Albrecht Durer (including the famous "Young Hare") and the 20 lavishly restored Habsburg State Rooms.
The Albertina is fully barrier-free. All levels are accessible by elevator or platform lifts. The platform elevators can carry electric wheelchairs up to 500 kg. Folding wheelchairs are available free of charge at the ticket desk. Visitors with disabilities receive a significant admission discount.
